WebDuring the scene where Bubo terrorises Boni in Fester Rancid, some mushrooms are seen surrounding the lake in the swamp. In Strange Goings On, immediately after the Fish inadvertently catapults Boni away from the lake, Boni lands into a bed of mushrooms. The mushrooms transport Boni away, all whilst Boni orders the mushrooms to release him. For a majority of the series, the plot of each episode will revolve around a new monster that emerges from the trapdoor. These monster are often hostile to Berk and his friends, though others seem relatively harmless and simply act as a minor irritation.
