WebMay 12, 2024 · I cant say honestly that it was a fitech issue with that one, but I still didnt want to gamble after taking the hit and having to have another motor bought and built. Holley has been around forever and has a way better tech support system, Have heard of the fitech guys having to wait on hold for 3-4 hours before talking to someone.

My build is a 572 CID, with 429 SCJ D00E-R cast iron cylinder heads and intake, stock 429 CJ cam. Compression is supposed to be in the 9.7, 9.8 range. It's in a 77 F250 2wd. Not built for a racer, but for some good pulling hp.
