While you have almost no chance of escape you have a much higher chance to collect the weapon which you will keep, even if your character is killed. Webranger armor doesn't really go along with a strength/minigun build IMO. No, the +1 luck doesn’t really scale with the low crit chance minigun. But some people, like me, enjoy collecting as much unique gear available in the game. I do too. My favorites are the stuff from mothership zeta and operation anchorage.
