WebWhilst I know that of course the LDS Church is necessarily different as the restored Church with the full gospel that sets it apart from other Christian churches, I am still just absolutely stuck on this particular doctrine. I can see myself understanding or agreeing if tithing was paid to charities, for example, rather than the Church. WebChurch members give their tithing donations to local leaders. This council is comprised of the First Presidency, the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, and the Presiding Bishopric.
